The first week back it’s always a bit hard to find that workout motivation. In fact, when work, weather, & traffic resulted in a long day, I almost skipped today’s workout. (Especially since I’m sore from class at @fitwall_denver_highlands yesterday) BUT, I kept my eye on the prize & tackled #MBBhome Wk3 Leg Day. And night snack was popcorn with pretzels and then!! A spontaneous trip to Dairy Queen to get a swirled soft serve🍦. Yes I had ice cream twice today 😮 A month ago I would have had an anxiety attack at just the thought. But its just food. Food for a hot summer day and fun spontaneous summer night! Definitely ate a lot today but you know what? I don’t feel too guilty about it. Im going to bed without an aching or raging stomach and I gotta say the balance of not binging/restricting feels really nice 💛

last lunch before I go back to eating out of containers for school😭 made a tofu scramble inspired by @sarahs_day and it turned out pretty well! all you do is mash up 1/3 block of tofu with a fork, add some turmeric/curry powder, nutritional yeast, and cook in a pan like you would eggs! still super high in protein plus I add extra nooch on top with a side of avo + za’tar(seasoning from israel) and greens! just proves that virtually any food can be made vegan!

I honestly can’t tell you a time in my life where I felt comfortable in my body. I hated it in middle school, high school, during college, after college. Literally for years and years. • I always wanted change but I never made it until a year ago. Change is hard. Taking on a healthy lifestyle is a commitment like no other. But why did I decide to do it? • Think about it... as hard as it might be to change your lifestyle and reach your goals and get that body you want, isn’t it harder NOT to change? • Yes, you have to change the way you eat, you have to resist temptations, you have to move your body everyday, you have to constantly be learning new foods, new ways of taking care of yourself, new exercises. You have to step out of your comfort zone, you might lose friends, you might have days where you just want to quit. You have to stay consistent and make a choice EVERY SINGLE DAY. • But think... is it easy to look at yourself in the mirror and hate who you see? Is it easy to go clothes shopping and leave feeling horrible? Is it easy to be anxious about a beach day because you don’t want anyone to see you in a bathing suit? Is it easy to spend your whole life worrying about how you look and wondering what others think of you? • This job is a big one. I had to move some big mountains to be able to look in the mirror and be happy with who I see. You don’t have to hurt. Don’t forget those things you suffer through daily... let them drive you to make that big change for YOU. 💛

“I’ll do anything to be skinny besides eat healthy and workout” 🤷🏼‍♀️ • I saw this quote the other day and it made me laugh at first but then I realized how dang true it is! I tried losing weight for YEARS but excuses always got in my way. • I don’t have the craziest transformation out there but it’s mine and it changed my life. At my heaviest last July, I was 185. On the left here, I was maybe 170 (I never took a lot of before pictures or kept track because I didn’t think I’d be posting them online!) I was sad, doubting so much, and just really down on myself. Just this week, I weighed in at 141. That’s 44 pounds down and I can say I have NEVER felt better! 🙌🏻 • But it’s not just the losing weight that makes me feel like that... it’s the new mindset, the self confidence, and the physical and mental health that has come with all of this. How many times did I look in the mirror and want to change? I couldn’t even tell you. It took me YEARS to make a change. We’re so quick to want change and wish for it, but how many actually take action to make that change?🙇🏼‍♀️ • Maybe you struggle with eating. Maybe you binge eat or emotionally eat. Maybe you starve yourself and obsess over calories. Maybe you measure your worth by the number on the scale or the size of your jeans. I don’t know what it is for you, but I know what it was for me & I learned that if I don’t change anything, NOTHING will change.💡 • So if you’ve struggled with an eating disorder in whatever way, or you can’t see your self worth, or you’re obsessed over being perfect... I dare you to call it out, write down what needs to change, and come up with a game plan to commit to making those changes one at a time, day by day, week by week! 👏🏻 • Your body is a temple, not a trophy. You decide what you do with it and how you see it. You deserve to have freedom from the thoughts and actions that hold you back. You deserve confidence. You can be free in your own body, I promise you. It has taken me YEARS to look in the mirror and feel truly happy. Since I started my weight loss journey, a lot of people have asked what I eat, what program I’m on, what my workouts look like, etc. which I’m always happy to share BUT as cheesy as it sounds... it’s a lifestyle! Everyday I make the choice to live healthy. I choose to workout 5-6 days a week, I choose to cut out junk food, I choose to do the 21 day meal plan, I choose to surround myself with those who have a similar mindset. The choices I make daily are my lifestyle and my mindset. It doesn’t take a magic pill or a body wrap or a shake... it takes a MINDSET!
